01 The Ship

Lyrics

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads his white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue lagoon. He is an object of majesty and strength, and I stand and watch him until, at length, he is only a ribbon of white cloud just where the sea and sky come together to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, "There! He's gone!" Gone where? Gone from my sight - that is all. He is just as large in mast and hull as when he left my side and just as able to bear his load of living freight to the place of destination. His diminished size is in me, not in him, and just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There! He is gone!" There are other voices glad to take up the shout, "There he comes!"

02 Without Your Love

Lyrics

I’ve been a lot of different places, seen a lot of different faces

Been up to the mountain high, and through the valley low

I’ve been without direction, been without a reason

Been without an answer, without a place to go

But now I know that I can’t be strong

Even for a day, even for an hour, even for a moment without Your Love

When I needed you, you were there beside me

And when my body shook with cold, I felt Your warmth inside of me

There were times I felt so lonely, I didn’t have a friend

That’s when you whispered in my ear, “I’ll be with you till the end,” – my friend!

I just can’t be strong,

Even for a day, even for an hour, even for a moment without Your Love

So listen Jesus, I’m singing this song for You

‘Cause you’re the only one in this whole wide world can ever, ever see me through

Just fill my heart with Your love, help me share it with my brothers

Help me let them You’re the One, and beside you there’s no other, Mmmhmm,

I just can’t be strong

Even for a day, even for an hour, even for a moment without Your Love.

03 Beautiful Feet

Lyrics

Run and take the message everywhere of Jesus’ love for all the world

Of a Father’s love so great and true, that He gave His only Son for you

Oh, time is getting short now, and so many haven’t heard

About the Savior’s story and the power of the Lord

How beautiful the feet on the mountain, of those who bring the good news

How beautiful the feet on the mountain of those who bring the good news

Undo the heavy burdens and let the oppressed go free

Open up the deaf ears, and let the blind man see

Then your life shall break forth like the morning, and your healing spring forth speedily

And the hand of the Lord will guide you continually

How beautiful the feet on the mountain, of those who bring the good news

How beautiful the feet on the mountain of those who bring the good news

Run and take the message everywhere!

04 Child

Lyrics

Child, your day of mourning is over

Look up through your veil of tears and know your Redeemer lives

He lives to love you

He loves to comfort you in His love

Child, He has felt your crying

And His heart broken with yours

When the one you loved was dying

But the morning has broken, and the sun is arising

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy

You know that weeping may endure for a night

But joy cometh in the morning

So dry your tears, please don’t cry

Let the Lord send His love from on high

Dry your tears, please don’t cry

Let the Lord send His love from on high

Child, your day of mourning is over

Look up through your veil of tears and know your Redeemer lives

He lives to love you

He loves to comfort you in His love

05 Greg’s Song

*Background Vocals by Gregory Reid and Danny Pelfrey

Lyrics

It seems so very strange to finally be saying goodbye to you

We’ve known each other for so many years

We’ve shared so very much, you’ve become such a part of me

Through the good times, the bad times, the laughter an the tears

Someday We’ll be together in God’s Kingdom of love

We will be free, you and me, for eternity

I’ll remember what you said, that we’ll never be apart

Just keep me in your thoughts and prayers, and I’ll keep you in my heart

Remember the golden words that I placed into your hand

They will be a strength to you in many foreign lands

Someday We’ll be together in God’s Kingdom of love

We will be free, you and me, for eternity

06 as The Ruin Falls

Lyrics

All this is flashy rhetoric about loving you.
I never had a selfless thought since I was born.
I am mercenary and self-seeking through and through:
I want God, you, all friends, merely to serve my turn.

Peace, re-assurance, pleasure, are the goals I seek,
I cannot crawl one inch outside my proper skin:
I talk of love —a scholar's parrot may talk Greek—
But, self-imprisoned, always end where I begin.

Only that now you have taught me (but how late) my lack.
I see the chasm. And everything you are was making
My heart into a bridge by which I might get back
From exile, and grow man. And now the bridge is breaking.

For this I bless you as the ruin falls. The pains
You give me are more precious than all other gains.

07 Spirit of Your Love

*Intro Vocal by David Calvillo

*Additional guitar by Gregory Reid

Lyrics

Jesus, help me see and understand that I am just a weak and helpless lamb

I’m tired of trying to make it on my own, I can no longer live all alone

So take my life, make it strong, show me right and take my wrong

Help me sing a joyful song, in the Spirit of Your Love

Always looking for the one inside of me, thinking I was really free

But then I saw the chains that tied me down

Then what good was the self that I had found?

So break me Lord, take my sin, show me what a fool I’ve been

Give me joy and peace within, in the Spirit of Your Love

08 Backsliders Song

* Guitar by Gregory Reid

Lyrics

Well hi there Lord, it’s me again, as usual up to my ears in sin

But that’s ok, you just turn your back and somehow, I’ll get on the right track

I know you want to help me and I know that’s right but please Lord, not tonight

Rock of ages, cleft for me

How do I get away from thee?

Well hi there Lord, it’s you again, imagine that, and here I am still in sin

Well the Bible said judge not lest you be judged

And I know you’re a good guy and won’t keep a grudge

What do you mean I’m gonna reap what I sow? See you later Lord, gotta go…

Jesus is watching me, Jesus is watching me, Jesus is watching me, Jesus my Lord

I do nothing for Him, I’m trying to ignore Him, Jesus is watching me, Jesus my Lord!

Well hi there Lord, looks like I finally died, just open up them gates and let me inside

And give me all the things that you promised me

What do you mean they weren’t exactly free?

What’s all that stuff that’s starting to smoke? What is this Lord, some kind of a joke?

You say I’ll be saved, but as through fire?

Maybe you have a job for me in your heavenly choir?

Well, when the role is called up yonder, when the role is called up yonder,

When the role is called up yonder, don’t look ‘cause I’ll be hiding out somewhere

09 New Age Salvation

*Additional Guitar by David Boone

Lyrics

You sit around in a hot dark room smokin’ dope drinkin’ and you ain’t got nothin’ to live for

You sleep with your lady or you sleep with your man and you think that’s love,

Well you ain’t got nothin to give for

And you sit around waiting in anticipation, contemplating new age salvation,

Don’t you know it ain’t gonna come?

You party around till four in the morning and your body says stop but you don’t take the warning

You pay no attention to the slow death that you’re dying

So then you get lonely so you go on home and you don’t wanna talk so you turn off your phone

But you can’t stop the tears that you’ve been crying

So you sit around waiting in anticipation, contemplating new age salvation,

Don’t you know it ain’t gonna come?

So if you hear what I’m trying to say, then listen to this message, it’s for you today

You’ll never find peace till you give up the life you’ve been livin’

And you Turn away from the false messiah, turn away from the false messiah turn away from the false messiah

Give it up why don’t you try a new life Jesus is giving?

Jesus is calling, give up the nightmare

Jesus is calling, welcome the daylight

Jesus is coming, come on now, take His hand , come on now, take His hand, come on now, take His hand, Don’t turn away

Lyrics

I’ve been looking for my father, I don’t know where I am

I feel so down and empty, Life’s so hard without a friend

I left so long ago, now I don’t know my way back home

I just know I’ve got to get there, even if it takes forever

I don’t know how it happened, the world looked so good to me

I said, “Father, give me what is mine from you. I feel the need just to be free.”

When I walked away that morning, the tears were streaming down His face

Now those tears haunt my dreams, I wonder if He still cries over me?

I doubt it, after all I’ve done…

Had my fill of earthly treasure, spent every penny that I had

Had my fill of earthly pleasure, woke up feeling old and sad

Found myself in the dirt one morning, wondering how I ever got so low

Eating husks just to fill my hunger, standing in the rain without a place to go

Then I knew I had to find my father, I didn’t even know how to get home

I didn’t know if he’d still want me, knowing all the things I’d done

But I saw him standing on the hillside, tears streaming down his face

I ran and fell at his feet, “Father, just give me a servant’s place!”

He just put his arms around me, I couldn’t believe he’d take me in

I couldn’t believe that he’d still want me, knowing where my life had been

And it was like I’d never left home, everything could start again

I left behind all my sorrows, my father had become my friend

It seems the cry of all the ages, everyone keeps looking for a home

Lost without the One that is our Father, without His love we’re so alone

So if you’re feeling down and lonely, don’t think He doesn’t care.

Run into the arms of Jesus, I know you’re gonna find your Father there

We’re all looking for our Father.

12 I’ll Fly Away

*Lead Vocal by Molly Pasutti

Background Vocals by Molly Pasutti

Lyrics

Some glad morning when this life is o'er,

I'll fly away;

To a home on God's celestial shore,

I'll fly away

I'll fly away, Oh Glory

I'll fly away; (in the morning)

When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,

I'll fly away

13 Stranger to This Place

Lyrics

Well I got the news last night that you had winged your way to heaven

I wasn’t really too surprised, I know you never really felt at home here

But like all of us who’ve seen the Savior’s face

You knew you were just a stranger to this place

My mother left me first, and I never thought I’d heal

The pain was cruel and nothing in this world seemed even real

I miss her hard and though the hurt is fading with the years

I long to feel her sweet embrace in the land of no more tears

There’s a place

High above the stars where angels sing and children run and play

There’s a place

Far beyond this broken world where God will wipe each bitter tear away

Well my father couldn’t stay long and he saw no reason to

Except his sons so needed him, so he saw his duty through

The call came one spring morning with a rare April snow

That angels bore you on their wings

From this broken world below

There’s a place

High above the start where angels sing and children run and play

There’s a place

Far beyond this broken world where God will wipe each bitter tear away

Oh I love this life you’ve given me

The friends along the way

The power of the ocean waves

Soft breezes on a summer day

But how I’m aching to be near

That crystal heaven’s shore

Where death and pain and grief and loss will touch my heart no more

Cause there’s a place

High above the start where angels sing and children run and play

There’s a place

Far beyond this broken world where God will wipe each bitter tear away

There’s a place

Just around the corner, even now the light is coming through the door

It won’t be hard to say goodbye

I’m going home and I’ll be a stranger no more
